About Out of the Aether

‘Out of the Aether’

An Art Installation exploring the idea of Aether “The Fifth Element”.

The collection features seven large scale (2m x 1.5m) oil on canvas paintings.

My cancer journey began with fear and questions, but as I explored the meaning Aether, the idea that like a river flowing, nothing stays the same and change is constant, I learned to seek light and meaning in the darkness, lean into the power I have and focus on the elements I can change.

Who am I?

A query echoing through my racing mind. Resonating within the essence of being.

What am I?

An amalgamation of dreams and fears, an image painted through marks of hope and despair.

What am I grateful for?

The light that pierces the darkest shadows. The Aether surrounding the binding of heaven and earth.

In the stillness’ of introspection, I shed my tears like leaves and breaking waves, surrounding the wind’s gentle embrace.

The fractures of my past, once a burden, become the very foundation of my strength.

As I traverse through this landscape of existence I witness the world shifting/ water becomes material, material becomes the skies, and I find that to transform is to be reborn.

Life, an intricate dance of renewal, reveals that transformation begins within.

I am the vessel of possibilities, grateful for the Alchemy of change, forever entwined within the tapestry of life.

‘The Aether’s Breath ‘
I am the Koi breaking through murky depths flowing onwards.

In mirrored waters I confront my fears/ shadows, the depths that threaten to pull me under.

You are the vessel of light, cracked and mended like Kentsugi gold.
Every scar a testament to survival. Every fracture a chapter in my becoming.

My body attacked with cancerous doubt dissolved.

From within the Aether all is connected. Each pulse, each thought. An echo of existence.

Transcendence lies not in the flawless but in the beauty of the broken. I ‘Am’ the Aether!!!
